Height is the trigger that surprises people most often. Cargo measured on the ground can sit comfortably inside the limit and still be over once it is on a trailer deck — which is exactly why the deck height of a lowbed matters so much for tall machinery.
Weight has its own subtlety: it is not only the total that counts but how that total lands on each axle. A compact, dense unit can breach axle limits while sitting well inside the trailer's rated capacity.

Before anything is booked we check the route for height and bridge clearance, turning radii, and any physical obstruction between collection and delivery. A route that works for a standard trailer can be impassable for an over-height load, and the place to discover that is on a plan rather than at three in the morning with an escort waiting.
RTA and police authorisations are applied for by us, using the surveyed route and the confirmed cargo dimensions. Keeping it in-house means the permit matches the plan — the most common failure on oversize moves is a permit written for a route the load cannot actually take.
Where the dimensions require escort vehicles, we arrange them and coordinate the convoy — running order, spacing, and communications. For multi-vehicle project moves the sequence is planned so the pieces arrive in the order the site needs them.
Placement is calculated rather than eyeballed. A dense load concentrated over one axle group can breach axle limits even when the total sits well inside the trailer rating, so we work out where on the deck it goes before the trailer leaves our yard.
