Steel & Fabricated Structures
Beams, plate, pipe, and fabricated sections moving between mills, fabrication yards, and sites. Length rather than weight usually decides the trailer here, so we ask for the longest single piece before quoting.
Open-deck trailer transport for machinery, steel, containers and oversized project cargo — trip-based, driver and prime mover included.

EQP AXIS provides flatbed trailer transport and rental across Dubai and all seven Emirates for steel, containers, boxed machinery, and general project cargo. A flat bed carries its load on an open deck at standard height, which makes it the right choice for anything that can be craned, forklifted, or rolled into place.
The deciding factor between a flatbed and a lowbed is rarely weight on its own — it is height. A machine that fits comfortably on a flat deck in the yard can exceed the legal travel height once the deck is under it. That is the check worth making before you book, and it is the first thing we look at when you send dimensions.
One clarification on rental. Flatbed trailer rental with us is trip-based and always includes our prime mover and our driver. We do not lease bare trailers, which keeps loading, lashing, and route compliance under our control for the whole job.
Below are the confirmed figures for the trailer that handles most flat-deck work in our fleet. If your cargo needs a deck length we have not published here, ask dispatch rather than assuming — we would rather confirm the fit than send the wrong trailer.
Built by Al Jaber & Load King. The 3.5 m full width is the figure that matters most for flat-deck work — it takes standard palletised and containerised cargo without an overwidth permit, which keeps both cost and lead time down.
| Specification | Figure |
|---|---|
| Manufacturers | Al Jaber & Load King |
| Net capacity | 100 tons |
| Full width | 3.5 m |
| Overall length | 18.7 m |
| Main deck length | 7.5 m |
| Ground clearance | 40 cm |
Main deck length excludes the front gooseneck and the rear axle platform.

Deck capacity is only half the equation — the truck has to pull it. Our prime movers are 2022 and newer Volvo FH units on heavy-duty spring suspension with reinforced axles, matched to the load rather than assigned at random.
| Specification | Figure |
|---|---|
| Volvo FH750 | up to 150 tonnes |
| Volvo FH540 | up to 130 tonnes |
| Volvo FH460 | up to 100 tonnes |
| Model year | 2022 and newer |
| Suspension | Heavy-duty spring |
| Axles | Reinforced |

Send the cargo type, weight, and dimensions. We will confirm the trailer and tell you whether the move needs a permit before you commit to a date.

Loaded containers and flat racks moving from port to yard or site. Container length and gross weight decide which unit is dispatched, so send both and we will confirm the fit before the job is booked.
Crated plant, machine tools, and skidded equipment that can be craned or forklifted on. These are straightforward moves when the crate dimensions and lifting points are known up front.
Precast elements, formwork, scaffolding, and bulk site materials. For multi-load site mobilisations we run trailers in sequence so the site is supplied in one window rather than across several days.
Dense, high-value units where weight sits in a small footprint. These need calculated placement over the axle groups rather than centre-of-deck positioning, which is why we ask for weight and dimensions together.
Three things rule out a flat deck: height, tracks, and weight past roughly 100 tons. An excavator, dozer, or piling rig sitting on a standard deck will usually breach the legal travel height, and tracked machines need a low deck they can drive onto rather than be lifted onto.
If any of those apply, the job needs a lowbed — and sending it as a flatbed enquiry only costs you a day while we sort it out.
We run flat-deck work throughout Dubai and into every emirate — Jebel Ali Port and JAFZA, Dubai Industrial City, Dubai Investments Park, and Al Quoz; into Abu Dhabi for Musaffah, ICAD, and KEZAD; and across the northern emirates including the Sharjah industrial areas and Hamriyah Free Zone.
Port collections are the most time-sensitive work we do. Once the free period ends, storage charges accrue daily, so those moves get planned around the container release rather than around our own schedule.
Cross-border movements to Oman and Saudi Arabia are also regular work, with the customs and permit paperwork handled in-house rather than passed to a third party.
Most flat-deck cargo travels inside the standard legal envelope, which is exactly why the 3.5 mdeck width matters — cargo that fits within it avoids the permit process altogether.
Once a load goes over width, length, or weight, it needs authorisation before it can move. EQP AXIS arranges RTA and police permits in-house, along with escort vehicles and convoy coordination where the dimensions call for them. Permit lead time varies by emirate and by dimensions, so send your figures early and we will tell you what the move needs before you commit to a date.
Send the dimensions and weight and we will confirm the trailer, the route, and any permits the same day.
A flatbed has a single flat deck at standard height and suits cargo that can be craned or rolled on — steel, containers, boxed machinery, and construction materials. A lowbed drops the deck close to the road so tall or tracked machines stay inside the legal travel height. If your cargo is tall, tracked, or very heavy, you need a lowbed.
Our 4-axle unit is rated at 100 tons net cargo weight, with a 3.5 m full width and 18.7 m overall length. Heavier or out-of-gauge cargo moves on the 6-axle trailer, which is authorised up to 150 tons net. Send the weight and dimensions and dispatch will confirm which trailer suits the job.
Yes — containers, flat racks, and long steel sections are regular work for us. Deck length is what governs the answer, so send the exact length, weight, and how the cargo will be loaded, and we will confirm the right trailer before anything is booked rather than after.
No. Every hire is trip-based and always includes our prime mover and our driver. We do not lease bare trailers. Loading, lashing, and route compliance stay under our control from collection through to delivery.
Cost depends on distance, cargo weight, overall dimensions, whether a permit is required, and whether an escort is needed. There is no flat rate that would be honest across those variables. Send your load details on WhatsApp and you will have a quote the same day.
Yes. Port collections are regular work and among the most time-sensitive we handle, because storage charges accrue daily once the free period ends. We plan those moves around the container release rather than around our own schedule.
Tell us what you are moving and we will confirm the trailer, whether a permit is needed, and how quickly we can mobilise. Same-day response on every enquiry, and WhatsApp reaches a dispatcher fastest.
The more of these we have up front, the faster we can confirm trailer suitability and come back with a firm plan.
